The Colt Model 1917 was a six-round revolver pistol. It was used by Guests for the Westworld park.[1]
Background[]
The revolver is also known as the M1917 Revolver. There are two, visually very similar, weapons known as the M1917, one made by Colt, the other by Smith & Wesson. During the World War I, supply shortages of the standard US Army sidearm prompted a request for Colt and Smith & Wesson to produce to weapons using their existing Commercial heavy frame revolver that could be used to supplement the standard sidearm.
