The Union scout and his companion are Hosts serving in The Union Army, as part of the War narrative. They are carrying nitroglycerin when Slim, Logan, William and Dolores ambush them to steal the explosives. They are to take the goods and bring them back to El Lazo, who is secretly part of the Revolutionaries. In the process of the ambush, the wagon driver and his companion both get killed.

The Union Scout was portrayed by Dylan Kenin. The character is armed with a Colt Model 1878 "coach gun".
