Come and experience the grandeur and love of a place lost in time.

If being pampered by our world-class spa isn’t your cup of Darjeeling Tea, the park's jungles and mountains are your only chance to glimpse magnificent beasts long vanished from your world.

The Raj is Delos Incorporated's sixth theme park, modelled on the British Raj, a period of British rule in India.

"The Raj" is park six at Delos Destinations and the first park revealed that doesn't use the "-world" suffix in its name. The park is named after and inspired by the "British Raj", the period between 1858 and 1947 in which the British Crown ruled over the Indian subcontinent. This is a time period in which Imperial Britain's commerce and trade reach — beginning with the British East India Company — was both a dominant global commercial force as well as the defacto governing power in India, supporting (like Delos, nearly two centuries later) its own private maritime military force, which was larger than Britain's own national navy.

From the mid-19th century to the mid-20th century, the "British Raj" describes the period in which the British government reasserted its self-appointed sovereign authority as the governing power in India.

The flag on the hotel roof is that of the British Raj. And the clothing and props have a similar look to period pieces set in the initial years of the 20th century.

The caption for the park on the Delos website is in Hindi; it translates roughly to, "Come and experience, the grandeur and love of a place lost in time." The English description goes on to say, "If being pampered by our world-class spa isn’t your cup of Darjeeling Tea, the park's jungles and mountains are your only chance to glimpse magnificent beasts long vanished from your world."

The Raj is first seen in the episode Virtù e Fortuna and depicts privileged guests — predominantly Caucasian — being attended to by deferential Indian servants.  The park is presumably ruled by a "governor," one who tends to invite guests along for new narratives and it attracts guests who are keen on hunting. It takes place at the onset of the host uprising, where we witness an Indian guide shooting one guest, and a Bengal tiger pouncing upon another guest at the brink of the park's cliff, above the water. This is presumably the same tiger that was found washed ashore in Season 2 premiere episode Journey Into Night
